Shortly after Krystal and Ian got married, her biological clock started to tick.  It wasn’t long before she found herself pregnant with her first child.  Both Krystal and Ian had wished for a boy, and they got their wish.  They named him Shai Ning.

Perhaps she was somewhat torn between being a stay-at-home mom or having her career.  However, before she could make her decision, nature made it for her.  Before she got off maternity leave, she found herself pregnant again.  Krystal didn’t really have a preference this time, but Ian wished for another boy, and he got his wish.  They named their second child Rai Sing.

Once again, before Krystal returned to work, she wound up pregnant for the third time!  This time Krystal really wanted a girl, and she wanted one so bad, she decided to opt for fertility treatments to enhance her odds

Krystal got her wish three times over:  triplet girls!!!  She named them Bree Li’ant, Magique Elle, and Wii Shing.

Realizing that time was passing and she would soon become an elder (and perhaps she decided too that staying home and continuously collecting those maternity leave dollars was pretty lucrative), Krystal and Ian decided to try one last time for a baby.  While Krystal wished for a girl, this time, she didn’t get her wish.  They had a boy, and named their youngest Fah Ling.

Home Remodel

With three boys and three girls (all babies still!), it was soon apparent that they would need a bigger house.  Rather than buy a new one, they decided to remodel, and as time (and money) allowed, they would build on to the existing floorplan.  First, they extended out the back part of the house as far as they could.  Then, they started to build up.  By the time Shai Ning grows out of the toddler stage, they hope to move him out of the nursery and into a room of his own.

Not quite as interesting as Roburky’s stuff, but hey. Inspiration is what it is. 🙂

I’m withholding comment on the Asian-Inspired names you chose though.

Well, it just happened that they sound Asian. They are mainly a play on words.

Of course, I did choose to spell it Wii instead of Wee. Guilty of using a game platform for inspiration there.

3. cinderellajack - July 21, 2009

lol It’s also Fah Ling (falling) Rai Sing (rising) Shai Ning (shining) and Magique Elle (magical). Cool way to think of new names. Must try that.

I like your story. Some people would argue that your story is going too fast, like they did mine, but hey, this game doesn’t have contraception and we can write our stories how we want.

I’m off to read some more!

When I started playing these characters, I didn’t think I was going to be writing a story about them. I also didn’t take a lot of pictures back in the day.

I had two choices: start back at square one and do a couple longer chapters to catch everyone up to where I started really taking pictures and documenting the lives of my characters, or start where I started taking pictures.

I really would have liked to have been able to start with Krystal as a single and build it from there more slowly, but since I didn’t have the photographic material to go into it, I decided to do a brief synopsis up to where Krystal and Ian were married and had six kids in the house.

Hindsight is always 20/20, and I know if I do another story after this one, it will be done so I can develop the story from the start.

awesome!! i need to keep reading lol 🙂

More pictures. That picture was too random. Moves too fast. Snooooozer. Sorry. =/

Just found your story. So far, it’s really entertaining! I’m pleased to say I ‘got’ the names by the second one. (As a blond, that’s an accomplishment! lol) I can’t wait to see where this is going.
