Krystal decided that being a frumpy gray just made her feel too old.  It was time for a style change.

Change 1First, she tried coloring her hair, but while it was better than just a plain gray, the same old haircut just wasn’t doing it for her.  Krystal decided it was time for a makeover, and changed her hairstyle completely.

So, Krystal not only decided to cut her hair short, she lightened it as well.  She felt much happier with her new look.  It seemed to take years off her and she was much like her younger self again.

As she had promised herself, she decided to make each day count a little more.  On her last days of maternity leave, she spent more and more time in the nursery, and rediscovered all the joys of motherhood.Change 2

As her last day of maternity leave approached though, Krystal started to evaluate her situation again.  There was so much she wanted to do with her life.  She wanted to be there for her children as much as she could.  She wanted to fulfill her musical ambitions.  Krystal decided to walk out in her garden that evening to think about what she should do.

As she walked in her garden, she took a moment to look out at the night sky.  It was a clear night, and the evening was lit up by a carpet of stars upon the velvet cloak of night.

Starry Sky

Looking out on the starry skies, it was almost as if Krystal had never seen them before.  The beatiful evening filled her with a sense of longing.

It was at that moment, she knew that the only thing to do would be to retire.  She had an opportunity that had come up right before going out on maternity leave, so Krystal decided to go back to work for one day, and then put in for her pension.

How do you change the Sims hair?

Kate from Tacoma - August 8, 2009

have them go to the mirror and select “change appearance.” Just like going to the dresser and selecting “plan outfit” will let you pick new clothes for them.

That night sky shot is amazing! Loving the story so far!
